What is SPACE? +

SPACE is a modular cloud platform developed by Vivica srl for the remote management and supervision of retail stores. It allows retailers, restaurant chains, banks and multi-site networks to control digital displays, background music, queue management, digital menus, operational workflows and air quality — all from a single dashboard accessible from any device.

What modules are available? +

SPACE include sei moduli indipendenti: Digital Signage per la gestione centralizzata di monitor e videowall, InStore Radio per il sottofondo musicale professionale, Queue Management per ottimizzare l'accoglienza clienti, Digital Menu Board per i menu digitali della ristorazione, Workflow Management per il coordinamento delle attività operative e Air Quality per il monitoraggio continuo della qualità dell'aria.

Can I activate just one module? +

Absolutely yes. SPACE's architecture is modular: each module is independent and can be activated individually, without mandatory packages. You can start with what you need right now and add new modules at any time. When multiple modules are active, they automatically integrate by sharing data and functionality.

Is specific hardware or a local server required? +

SPACE is cloud native: it requires no local servers or complex infrastructure. For the Digital Signage module, the software is installed directly on the compatible display (Samsung, LG, Philips, Sony, IIYAMA, ViewSonic, NEC, Sharp, Vestel, MAXHUB), eliminating the need for external media players. For all other modules, any browser on desktop or mobile is sufficient.

How long does it take to get up and running? +

Activation times are very fast. SPACE responds to requests within 24 business hours. The InStore Radio module, for example, is operational in about 2 business days. No complex installations are required: just create your account, configure your organization and activate the chosen modules.

Access and users
How do I access the platform? +

SPACE is accessible via browser from any device — desktop, tablet or smartphone — without installations. Simply connect to the portal at www.vivica.space and enter your credentials. You can also request a demo account to explore the platform before final activation.

Can different users have different permissions? +

Sì. SPACE include un sistema avanzato di Identity & Access Management con accessi profilati per corporation, ruolo, paese e filiale. Ogni utente vede e può fare solo ciò che gli compete. How many users can I add? +

SPACE's user structure is nested and scalable: from a single location with a few operators to large multi-market networks with hundreds of distributed users. There are no structural limits on the number of accounts. Management is centralized and every access is recorded in the LOG in real time.

Where is the data stored? +

SPACE is hosted on Google Cloud, one of the most secure and reliable infrastructures in the world. Google's data centers ensure geographic redundancy, high uptime and integrated disaster recovery. The platform complies with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS and SOC 2.

Is the data protected? How does security work? +

Do displays keep working if the internet goes offline? +

Sì, grazie alla funzionalità Store & Play del modulo Digital Signage. I contenuti vengono scaricati localmente sul display e continuano a essere riprodotti anche in assenza di connessione internet. Una volta ripristinata la connettività, il display si risincronizza automaticamente con la dashboard cloud.

SPACE Digital Signage è compatibile con display dei principali produttori: Samsung, LG, Philips, Sony, IIYAMA, ViewSonic, NEC, Sharp, Vestel e MAXHUB. Il software viene installato nativamente sul display, eliminando la necessità di media player esterni. È supportato il video 4K, il layout multi-zona e la riproduzione offline con Store & Play.

Does InStore Radio include music rights? +

Yes. Music rights are included in the subscription. SPACE InStore Radio is enabled for commercial broadcast thanks to agreements with SIAE/SCF, SoundReef, Watermelon and Jamendo. You don't need to worry about separate licenses or rights management: everything is already included and managed by the platform.

What does the Air Quality module monitor? +

The Air Quality module continuously monitors the main air quality parameters: CO₂, temperature, humidity, VOC (volatile organic compounds), PM2.5 and PM10. Data is visible in real time on the dashboard with multi-site comparison, configurable alerts, trend analysis and automatic PDF reports also useful for ESG reporting.

How does queue management work? Do customers need to download an app? +

No, an app is not required. The Queue Management module supports ticket issuance in multiple ways: physical totem, QR code from smartphone, web browser or dedicated app. Customers are called via visual display and/or voice. VIP paths, configurable priorities, waiting time statistics and native integration with SPACE Digital Signage displays are supported.

Does SPACE work for multi-country networks? +

Yes, this is one of SPACE's key strengths. The user structure is nested by corporation, role, country and branch: each organizational level has dedicated visibility and permissions. You can manage global campaigns from a single dashboard while giving operational autonomy to each local market, with multilingual support and batch or individual site management.
